The queen of 90’s Bollywood -Raveena Tandon, is all set to make her entry into the streaming world as a tough pahadi cop Kasturi Dogra in Netflix’s upcoming crime thriller ‘Aranyak’.

Translating to a forest or a dweller of the forest, Aranyak brings to you a dark and gritty tale from the midst of an eerie jungle and a mysterious town that will leave you hooked. Badshah And Divine Add Desi Touch To Highly Awaited Film Red Notice

Drop everything you are doing and pay attention! Netflix has just dropped a celebratory song for fans in India for their upcoming action-packed blockbuster film – Red Notice.

The song, by Badshah, DIVINE, Jonita, and Mikey McCleary, in collaboration with Universal Music India, is a groovy new take on the iconic Hindi Song ‘Bach ke Rehna Re Baba’ highlighting the action and adventure packed hunt for Cleopatra’s golden eggs which is at the core of the film.

This is the first time that Badshah and DIVINE have come together to create magic, and have been supported by the charm of Jonita Gandhi and the musical brilliance of Mikey McCleary.

Inspired by the film, the video of the song showcases a thrilling heist and an intense chase for the golden eggs across various locations. The video, directed by Reema Maya, captures the essence of the film and India perfectly through the action-packed video. Just like the video, the artists had an adventure creating the song as they were actually in three different places when the song was made. It was produced out of New York by Mikey McCleary while the singers were in Chandigarh (Badshah), Goa (DIVINE), and Mumbai (Jonita).

Songwriter and rapper, Badshah adds about his experience, “The song Bachke Rehna Re Baba, the R. D.Burman classic, is a perfect song for the hustle of the streets. I was excited to reimagine the song for Netflix, in collaboration with Universal Music India. I am excited to finally see a Divine X Badshah collaboration coming through. I think it’s a defining moment for the current music scene as well. And Jonita is just the icing on the cake. Bach Ke Rehna Re Baba compliments the vibe of the film – fast-paced and full of energy.”

He further added, “We had a great time remaking the song, giving it a modern desi bop vibe, and then shooting it. We took a month to finish the entire song, from the brief to create the mix and then the master. Divine is incredibly talented and I am glad to get this opportunity to work with him. We jammed with each other and with Jonita and Mikey on a couple of sessions to get the feel of the song right. Cannot wait to share it with the audience and for Red Notice to drop on Netflix soon.”

Sharing his excitement, rapper and songwriter DIVINE said, “I’m extremely excited for Red Notice and to be working with Netflix on the project! It’s my third project with Netflix in so many years and it’s always been a pleasure working with their global and Indian teams! It was a lot of fun creating this song with Netflix and Badshah, Jonita, and Mikey. The original is a classic and adapting it to this new age version was a cool experience. Shooting it was another amazing experience as we took some interesting elements from the film and gave it a uniquely Indian twist. Hope the fans love it as much as we did create it.”

Navarasa is ready for the world to see : Mani Ratnam

Netflix today unveiled the release date and launched the teaser of its much-awaited nine-part Tamil anthology film – Navarasa.

The film, presented by legendary filmmaker Mani Ratnam and renowned writer and filmmaker Jayendra Panchapakesan, is based on the nine ‘rasas’ (human emotions) – anger, compassion, courage, disgust, fear, laughter, love, peace, and wonder – and will release exclusively on Netflix on August 6, 2021, in over 190 countries.

Navarasa is truly a cinematic marvel and a landmark moment of cultural pride for the Tamil entertainment industry, as the finest and most acclaimed talent has come together to bring this film to life.

The most prolific actors, directors, musicians, writers, producers, and technicians from the industry and beyond, have collaborated to make this incomparable dream a reality.

The pandemic was staring at our face to stand up and do something. We realized our industry was the most badly hit and we felt a strong urge to do something for our own people. Navarasa was born from this strong urge to help and support the Tamil film industry.

They further added, “We reached out to directors, writers, actors, and technicians in the industry with this idea. The response was a spontaneous ‘yes’ from all of them. Today Navarasa is ready for the world to see. People in over 190 countries will see the work created by an industry coming together for its people with passion and commitment. Every industry icon has poured their heart and soul into this project for the cause, working pro bono. The result is an anthology that we are excited to reveal and share with pride. The first look teaser has been conceptualized by iconic filmmaker Bharat Bala and perfectly showcases the intricacy of human emotions as captured beautifully in the nine short films.

Team Lagaan reunites for a Netflix India YouTube Special – ‘Chale Chalo Lagaan’

Lagaan: Once Upon A Time In India, completes 20 glorious years since it launched and made cinema history. Lagaan, directed by Ashutosh Gowariker and produced by Aamir Khan, was a remarkable film in innumerable ways. The landmark period drama is currently available on Netflix in more than 190 countries.

As Lagaan completes two decades, Netflix, Aamir Khan Productions, and Ashutosh Gowariker will come together to celebrate this historic moment in Indian cinema through a celebratory reunion which will feature the team of Lagaan. The reunion titled Chale Chalo Lagaan – Once Upon An Impossible Dream will stream on Netflix India’s YouTube channel.

Lagaan, an ode to team spirit, was one of the three Indian films to be nominated in the Best Foreign Language category at the 74th Academy Awards and received widespread critical and commercial acclaim.

Netflix today drops the trailer of the much-awaited anthology series “Ray”. Four stories, three directors, two writers, and one legend, with gripping stories inspired from the works of Satyajit Ray.

The trailer gives us a glimpse into these timeless tales as they come to life. With a plethora of emotions, the stories – Hungama Hai Kyon Barpa, Forget Me Not, Bahrupiya and Spotlight, are full of twists, thrills, and turns.

Talking about his film in Ray ‘Hungama Hai Kyon Barpa’, Director Abhishek Chaubey said, “I’m drawn to stories that twist with whimsy and humor. Netflix Reveals The Explosive First Look Of The Final Season Of Money Heist

Netflix has unveiled the first images of the final season of La casa de Papel aka Money Heist. The heist keeps going, the war is approaching and the leader of the Gang has lost control. The end of this Original series created by Álex Pina is getting closer.

These first images of the final season reveal the chaos inside and outside the Bank of Spain; with the Professor caught off guard after Sierra finds his hideout and with Lisbon now safely inside the bank. The war begins and we see how The Gang must bring out its toughest side to survive, fuelled by anguish, more weapons, and the desperation of not having a plan.

Money Heist

The story of the fifth season revolves around, the gang that has been shut in the Bank of Spain for over 100 hours. They have managed to rescue Lisbon, but their darkest moment is upon them after losing one of their own. The Professor has been captured by Sierra and, for the first time, doesn’t have an escape plan. Just when it seems like nothing else could go wrong, an enemy comes on the scene that is much more powerful than any they’ve faced: the army. The end of the greatest heist in history is approaching, and what began as a robbery will turn into a war.

Part 5 of the iconic Spanish series will be released in two volumes on Netflix, on September 3 and December 3, 2021
