The Fashion Design Council of India (FDCI) and Hyundai Motor India Ltd. officially set the stage for the 18th edition of Hyundai India Couture Week 2025, in partnership with Reliance Brands, at a grand curtain-raiser held at the Taj Palace, New Delhi. Marking the third consecutive year of Hyundai’s partnership as the title sponsor, the unveiling blended the worlds of automotive innovation with the timeless elegance of Indian couture, setting the tone for a spectacular season of design and craftsmanship.
The event, which also commemorates the 10th anniversary of the Hyundai Creta, featured the announcement of the Creta EV’s showcase during the upcoming couture week, adding a futuristic dimension to India’s most anticipated fashion event.
Celebrating Synergy Between Couture and Innovation
The press conference witnessed the presence of industry leaders and luminaries, including Sunil Sethi, Chairman, FDCI; Mr. Tarun Garg, COO & Whole-Time Director, Hyundai Motor India Ltd.; Mr. J.T. Park, Executive Director (Sales, Marketing & Service), HMIL; and Mr. Virat Khullar, Group Head Marketing, HMIL.
Sunil Sethi opened the ceremony, highlighting the seamless synergy between automotive excellence and Indian couture: “Hyundai India Couture Week continues to be the most awaited platform showcasing the mastery and evolution of Indian couture. Mr. Tarun Garg, speaking on Hyundai’s continued commitment to the platform, added: “We are delighted to continue our association with FDCI for the third year running. India Couture Week is a celebration of creativity, craftsmanship, and culture, values that deeply resonate with us at HMIL. This year, we are excited to showcase the Hyundai Creta Electric at ICW 2025, bringing together the worlds of cutting-edge mobility and high fashion.”

As each couturier was announced, their designs offered a glimpse into the exceptional artistry that will take centre stage during the upcoming week.
This year’s stellar designer lineup includes: Rohit Bal, JJ Valaya, Manish Malhotra, Ritu Kumar, Tarun Tahiliani, Amit Aggarwal, Falguni Shane Peacock, Rahul Mishra, Shantnu & Nikhil, Suneet Varma, Rimzim Dadu, Jayanti Reddy, Rose Room by Isha Jajodia, Aisha Rao.
Select designers also joined a brief on-stage conversation, sharing insights into their vision for couture, craftsmanship, and their upcoming collections, further building anticipation for what promises to be a week of bold creativity and cultural celebration.
