Stree 2, directed by Amar Kaushik, has achieved stellar box office performance since its Independence Day release. The horror-comedy, starring Rajkummar Rao, Shraddha Kapoor, Aparshakti Khurana, Abhishek Banerjee, and Pankaj Tripathi, has reportedly earned approximately ₹306.93 crore, according to Sacnilk.com.
The film set a solid foundation with ₹8.5 crore from its advance screenings. It debuted with a bang on Thursday, raking in ₹51.8 crore. The opening weekend saw substantial figures, with ₹31.4 crore on Friday and ₹43.85 crore on Saturday, culminating in a remarkable ₹55.9 crore on Sunday.
Weekdays also saw strong performances, with the film earning ₹38.1 crore on Monday. Although collections slightly dipped in the following days, with ₹25.8 crore on Tuesday and ₹19 crore on Wednesday, the film continued to draw audiences. In its second week, Stree 2 earned ₹16.8 crore on Thursday, pushing its first-week total to ₹291.65 crore.
By Friday of its ninth day, the film is estimated to have added ₹15.28 crore to its tally, surpassing the ₹300 crore mark in just over a week.
The narrative of Stree 2 revolves around the town of Chanderi, haunted by a malevolent spirit named Sarkata. In their quest for salvation, the townsfolk enlist Stree’s aid to combat the sinister presence, delivering a gripping and entertaining cinematic experience.
