Renowned filmmaker Anurag Kashyap is all set to make a powerful comeback to theatres with his upcoming film Nishaanchi, slated for release on September 19, 2025. Known for his gritty, unfiltered storytelling, Kashyap helms this intense drama about crime and punishment, a narrative pulsating with themes of love, lust, power, betrayal, and redemption.
Nishaanchi is produced by Ajay Rai and Ranjan Singh under the banner of Jar Pictures, in association with Flip Films, with Amazon MGM Studios backing the project. The film features a compelling ensemble cast led by debutant Aaishvary Thackeray, alongside Vedika Pinto, Monika Panwar, Mohammed Zeeshan Ayyub, and Kumud Mishra in pivotal roles.
Opening up about the origins of Nishaanchi, Anurag Kashyap said, “We first wrote the script back in 2016, and ever since, I’ve been waiting for the right opportunity to bring it to life the way it deserves. I needed a studio that would truly trust the vision—and Amazon MGM did just that. They believed in the project wholeheartedly and stood firmly behind us.”
