Akshay Kumar is proving once again why he’s one of the hardest-working stars in the industry. Hot off the success of Housefull 5, the versatile actor is now donning the lawyer’s robe again for the third instalment of the much-loved courtroom comedy-drama, Jolly LLB 3. But this time, fans are in for a legal face-off like never before — as both Akshay Kumar and Arshad Warsi come together, reprising their versions of “Jolly” in the same film.
This marks the first time the two actors will share screen space in the Jolly LLB universe, making it a milestone moment for the franchise. For fans of the series, it’s a full-circle moment: Arshad Warsi charmed audiences with his witty, underdog lawyer in the original 2013 film, while Akshay brought a more polished but equally flawed version of the character in the 2017 sequel. With Jolly LLB 3, director Subhash Kapoor is orchestrating a courtroom clash between the two — a legal drama layered with sharp humour, social commentary, and powerhouse performances.
In a recent interview with Pinkvilla, Akshay revealed that the upcoming courtroom comedy draws heavily from real-life events, much like the previous two installments. “There are real incidents in part 1 and part 2, so part 3 also has some real incidents,” he shared. When pressed for more information, he playfully dodged the request, joking, “Do you want me to tell you the story?” with a smile.
What makes this third installment particularly exciting is the face-off between the two original Jollys—Akshay Kumar and Arshad Warsi. “Me and Arshad Warsi are coming together, so Jolly 1 and Jolly 2 are coming together,” Akshay revealed, adding that working with Arshad was a thoroughly enjoyable experience. “He’s such a lovely person to work with. Great humor, sharp timing—I had a lot of fun shooting with him.”
The film is helmed once again by Subhash Kapoor, who wrote and directed the earlier two films. Akshay had glowing words for the filmmaker, emphasizing Kapoor’s skill as a writer. “He creates with his pen. The lines he writes are just beautiful. I’m genuinely a big admirer of his work,” Akshay remarked. Impressively, the entire film was wrapped up in just two and a half months—showcasing the team’s efficiency.
Slated for a theatrical release on September 19, 2025, Jolly LLB 3 will see the quirky judge, played by the ever-entertaining Saurabh Shukla, return to his bench. The cast also features Huma Qureshi, Amrita Rao, and Annu Kapoor in key roles.
The film sets the stage for a courtroom clash filled with humor, satire, and socially relevant commentary, promising both entertainment and substance. With two powerhouse performers going head-to-head and real-life legal battles woven into the script, Jolly LLB 3 looks ready to strike the perfect balance between drama and comedy—right where justice meets entertainment.
