The glitz, the glamour, and the business of fashion are all set to collide in a brand-new reality show, Pitch To Get Rich. Set to premiere on JioHotstar on October 20, 2025, the show promises to bring a high-stakes mix of creativity, commerce, and drama to the Indian fashion scene.
Produced by Dharmatic Entertainment in collaboration with the Fashion Entrepreneur Fund, Pitch To Get Rich is designed to spotlight India’s rising fashion stars. Thirteen ambitious contestants will pitch their fashion ventures to an ensemble of some of the most influential figures in Bollywood and fashion—aptly called the “Angels.” Names like Karan Johar, Akshay Kumar, Manish Malhotra, Malaika Arora, and more promise not just glamour, but serious investment acumen. The total investment pool? A whopping ₹40 crores.
The show’s trailer teases intense pitch sessions, strategic negotiations, and plenty of high-fashion drama. Entrepreneurs present ideas ranging from sustainable hand-block printed wear to military-inspired menswear, hoping to secure substantial investments. The trailer highlights both the unpredictability of the process and the entrepreneurial fire of the contestants, with digital counters showing fluctuating sums and panellists pushing for investments like ₹1 crore, ₹4 crores, and even ₹15 crores.
Speaking at the launch, Karan Johar applauded the contestants for their creativity, while Manish Malhotra emphasised the global relevance of fashion. Malaika Arora highlighted the importance of knowing fashion in its entirety—from accessories to footwear, and Akshay Kumar shared his excitement about sustainable fashion and why the show is truly one-of-a-kind. Interestingly, Akshay also revealed that his own fashion awareness comes from his wife Twinkle Khanna and mother-in-law Dimple Kapadia, both hardcore fashion enthusiasts.
The show promises more than just funding—it’s about mentorship, strategy, and building brands with a global edge. Contestants navigate high-pressure boardroom sessions, pitch their unique concepts, and aim to stand out in front of celebrity investors who bring their own experiences, advice, and critical eye to the table.
“India’s fashion industry is set to explode to a forceful ₹7.5 lakh crore by 2026,” says Karan Johar, framing the stakes for contestants and investors alike. With glamour, business savvy, and entrepreneurial spirit all in play, Pitch To Get Rich looks poised to redefine reality TV for the Indian fashion world.
