Madhuri Dixit, Triptii Dimri Team Up for Netflix Crime-Comedy Maa Behen

Netflix has unveiled the premiere date of its upcoming crime-comedy Maa Behen, giving fans a special birthday surprise from Madhuri Dixit herself. Set to premiere on June 4, the film promises a delicious mix of family chaos, dark comedy, and small-town drama wrapped around one unforgettable “bada kaand.”

Directed by Suresh Triveni, Maa Behen centres on a wildly dysfunctional yet deeply entertaining mother-daughter trio — Rekha, Jaya, and Sushma — whose lives spiral into complete madness after a dead body mysteriously appears in their kitchen. What follows is a frantic chain of lies, cover-ups, misunderstandings, and comic disasters as the three women try desperately to stay ahead of suspicion while dealing with intrusive neighbours and mounting chaos.

At the heart of the story is Rekha, played by Madhuri Dixit, a mother already struggling to manage her complicated family dynamics before life throws her into an unimaginable situation. Joining her are Triptii Dimri as Jaya, the sensible and responsible daughter trying to hold everything together, and Dharna Durga as Sushma, the unpredictable wild card whose impulsive nature only adds fuel to the madness.

The film also stars Ravi Kishan in a pivotal role alongside a talented supporting cast featuring Geetanjali Kulkarni, Arunoday Singh, and Shardul Bhardwaj. Together, the ensemble brings to life a quirky world filled with eccentric characters, layered relationships, and escalating comic tension.

Produced by Abundantia Entertainment in association with Opening Image Films, Maa Behen blends rooted storytelling with sharp humour and unpredictable twists. The story has been created by Suresh Triveni and Pooja Tolani, with Tolani also handling the screenplay and dialogues.

Known for his emotionally layered narratives and grounded storytelling style, Suresh Triveni appears to take a more chaotic and comedic route with Maa Behen, while still retaining the warmth and complexity of family relationships. With Madhuri Dixit leading the madness alongside a fresh ensemble, the film is shaping up to be a high-energy entertainer filled with secrets, confusion, and hilariously messy consequences.
