Amitabh Bachchan Reveals He Worked Till 4 AM, Shares Health Update With Fans

Veteran actor Amitabh Bachchan has revealed that he continues to maintain an intense work schedule even at the age of 83. The legendary star, widely regarded as one of the finest actors in Indian cinema, recently shared updates about his routine and reflections on life through his Tumblr account, where he frequently interacts with fans and posts personal thoughts.

In a recent post shared at around 1 pm on Saturday, Bachchan disclosed that he had worked through the night and only wrapped up his commitments in the early hours of the morning.

“Just up .. worked till 4 am .. now ready for work .. keep well all .. be careful of the Sun and the heat .. be hydrated ..” he wrote, while also advising his followers to take precautions against the ongoing heat and stay hydrated.

In another post, the actor reflected on the importance of learning from challenges and maintaining a positive outlook towards life’s uncertainties. Sharing his thoughts on personal growth, Bachchan wrote that problems do not always need to be addressed immediately and that every challenge offers an opportunity to gain wisdom and understanding.

He noted that each day brings new lessons and that difficulties often help individuals prepare for future situations. According to the actor, it is not always the solutions that matter most, but the understanding gained from navigating life’s many “ifs and buts.” He added that these experiences ultimately contribute to confidence, positivity and a deeper appreciation of life.

Apart from engaging with fans online, Bachchan continues his long-standing tradition of greeting admirers outside his Mumbai residence, Jalsa. Every Sunday, hundreds of fans gather outside the iconic bungalow in Juhu to catch a glimpse of the superstar during his regular public appearances.

The actor’s recent posts have also drawn attention amid reports circulating online about his health. Several reports recently claimed that Bachchan had fallen seriously ill and was hospitalised. While the actor did not directly address the rumours, he appeared to respond indirectly earlier this week through a cryptic post on X, formerly known as Twitter.

Using his trademark chronological tweet format, Bachchan wrote, “T 5747 – Bokhla gye log; vichar vyakt kiye – koi samjhein ya na samjhein, liye ke diye ban gye zarur,” which loosely translates to, “People got flustered; expressed thoughts—whether someone understood or not, they certainly became like the givers for the taken.”

On the professional front, Bachchan was last seen in Kalki 2898 AD, directed by Nag Ashwin. The sci-fi epic also starred Prabhas, Deepika Padukone and Kamal Haasan in key roles.

Bachchan’s portrayal of Ashwatthama received widespread acclaim from audiences and critics alike. The film emerged as a major box-office success, earning over ₹1,000 crore worldwide. The veteran actor is currently busy shooting for the much-awaited sequel to the blockbuster film.
