The Vvaan Trailer: Sidharth Malhotra, Tamannaah Bhatia’s Horror Mystery Gets Intriguing

The much-awaited trailer of The Vvaan has finally been unveiled, offering a deeper look at the mystery, folklore and supernatural elements that form the heart of the upcoming film. Backed by Ektaa Kapoor, the project explores an intriguing tale rooted in Indian mythology and folklore, with a forest at the centre of its narrative.

The film marks the first on-screen collaboration between Sidharth Malhotra and Tamannaah Bhatia. The trailer opens with Sidharth’s character coming up with an excuse about not having leaves required for a Chhath pooja journey so that he can instead head to Goa with his friend. However, the seemingly casual trip takes an unexpected turn when the group arrives in a remote village.

The village follows a strict belief system centred around Vvaan Devi, the forest goddess. As the story progresses, the trailer introduces the community’s struggles, its deep-rooted beliefs surrounding the forest and a crucial decision that could determine what happens next.

A major rule governs the mysterious forest: no one is allowed to enter it after midnight. The trailer builds its narrative around this restriction while combining elements of mystery, horror, action, adventure, romance and humour.

The Vvaan is presented by Balaji Motion Pictures in association with TVF and 11:11 Production. Deepak Mishra has directed the film, while Arunabh Kumar has written the story. Manu Anand serves as the Director of Production and visual director.

The film is produced by Shobha Kapoor, Ekta R Kapoor, Arunabh Kumar and Niraj Kothari. Sunil Grover and Maniesh Paul are also part of the ensemble cast.

The world of The Vvaan was expanded earlier with the release of The Legend of Vvan, a special-edition graphic novel that serves as a prequel to the film. Created by Alok Sharma and Saumin Patel, the comic book draws story elements directly from the film’s creators and provides additional context to the fantasy universe.

With its combination of Indian folklore, supernatural mystery and adventure, The Vvaan promises to take audiences into a distinct cinematic world when it arrives in theatres.
