Being cooped up in our houses for so long is not an easy job for all. This period is indeed extremely one of the toughest for everyone especially for the poor people or old age couple whose children live in other cities for work.
This time is really hard to find a sufficient household for those elderly people. It became a torment and a nightmare for those who are unable to get food like migrant daily wages workers as well.
While most of the people have isolated themselves inside their house, some of them have come forward brilliantly to help those needy people in a very brave and commendable way.
Aritra Das, youngest producer of Bollywood along with his father Dr Amar Nath Das are wanted to curb this crisis. So, Aritra reached out to Smita Aggarwal, founder of “YehmeraIndia”. He wanted to help those needy people and also wish to get help in return in term of commodities, logistics, and finance.
On a note Aritra shares, “we started serving the ration from Belgharia to Saltlake to Rajabazar to everywhere in the city. Not only we are doing this inside the city, but also distributed the ration and food from Madhyamgram to Sandeshkhali. The migrant workers are truly helpless in this situation and it is our duty to keep them overcome the fear.”
Furthermore, he shares, “We even reach to the Songachi Sex Workers and Theatre Practitioners/workers to distribute the ration. We also help a child care centre in Dumdum.”
