Rhea Kapoor Shares BTS Moments from Veere Di Wedding

Rhea Kapoor recently shared a treasure trove of behind-the-scenes memories from the making of Veere Di Wedding, the 2018 buddy comedy directed by Shashanka Ghosh. In a heartfelt Instagram post, Rhea reflected on the magical time spent filming in Phuket, Thailand, with Kareena Kapoor Khan, Sonam Kapoor, Swara Bhaskar, and Shikha Talsania. She described the shoot as an unforgettable experience that felt like being embraced by a close friend.

The carousel post featured candid moments, including a video of the leading ladies dancing energetically at a pub in Phuket. Other snippets included a serene image of Sonam and Kareena by the sea at sunset, unwinding on set, and a selfie of Rhea with director Shashanka Ghosh. The final photograph highlighted all four stars dressed in stunning traditional outfits, showcasing the film’s vibrant aesthetic.

The story follows four women—Kalindi (Kareena), Avni (Sonam), Sakshi (Swara), and Meera (Shikha)—as they navigate the complexities of relationships, personal growth, and societal expectations around marriage and commitment. The film’s refreshing take on female friendships and modern relationships struck a chord with viewers.Produced by Rhea Kapoor, Ekta Kapoor, and Nikhil Dwivedi, Veere Di Wedding premiered in theaters on June 1, 2018.

In terms of current projects, Kareena Kapoor Khan recently appeared in Rohit Shetty’s Singham Again. Sonam Kapoor is preparing for her acting comeback, marking her first project since becoming a mother to son Vayu in August 2022.  Swara Bhaskar was recently featured in Manish Kishore’s Mrs. Falani, while Shikha Talsania starred in Satyaprem Ki Katha, helmed by Sameer Vidwans, last year. The memories shared by Rhea Kapoor have reignited fans’ love for Veere Di Wedding, reminding them of the joyous camaraderie and relatable themes that made the film a success. The film resonated with audiences, earning over ₹139 crores globally and becoming the fifth highest-grossing Hindi film of the year.
