The Trial: Kajol’s Noyonika Sengupta Faces Bigger Challenges in New Season

Kajol is back, and she’s more formidable than ever. The actress reprises her role as Noyonika Sengupta in the highly anticipated second season of The Trial: Pyaar Kaanoon and Dhoka, diving into a story brimming with drama, betrayal, and power plays. The trailer, unveiled today in the presence of the lead cast and makers, hints at a season that will test Noyonika’s resilience—both as a lawyer and as a mother.

The trailer opens with a tense confrontation between Noyonika and her husband Rajiv Sengupta (Jisshu Sengupta), whose scandal formed the heart of season one. In an emotionally charged exchange, Noyonika declares her desire for a divorce, while Rajiv, driven by political ambition, realizes that losing her could jeopardize everything.

Season two promises a heady mix of courtroom drama, personal vendettas, and family intrigue, exploring Noyonika’s relentless pursuit of justice. Adapted from the acclaimed series The Good Wife, the show also stars Alyy Khan, Sheeba Chaddha, Kubbra Sait, and Shruti Bisht, under the direction of Umesh Bist.
