This October, the capital will once again turn into a stage where fabric, craft, and imagination collide. Lakmē Fashion Week in partnership with the Fashion Design Council of India (FDCI) is all set for its grand 2025 Delhi edition, from October 8–12 at The Grand, Vasant Kunj, New Delhi.

After kicking off its 25th anniversary celebrations earlier this year in Mumbai with a glittering tribute to its legacy, the platform now brings its milestone showcase to the heart of India’s fashion capital. And if history has taught us anything, it’s that Lakmē Fashion Week never just returns—it reinvents, it resets, and it redefines.

A Legacy That Shaped Indian Fashion

For over two decades, Lakmē Fashion Week has been more than a bi-annual event; it has been the very crucible where India’s fashion narrative has been shaped and sharpened. From spotlighting raw, emerging voices to propelling Indian design houses into global relevance, the platform has celebrated everything—heritage weaves, experimental silhouettes, sustainability-led movements, and couture that whispers of tomorrow.

“Lakmē Fashion Week has stood at the forefront of shaping the narrative of Indian fashion and beauty for over a quarter of a century,” says Sunanda Khaitan, Vice President, Lakmē India. “As we look ahead to a new season, we are not only honouring that legacy but also evolving it with fresh ideas, deeper purpose, and a steadfast commitment to innovation.”

Beyond the Runway: A Cultural Moment

In today’s world, where fashion is as much about identity and dialogue as it is about fabric and form, Lakmē Fashion Week has become a cultural moment—one that extends far beyond the catwalk.

“With every edition, we aim to elevate the experience of Lakmē Fashion Week—not just as a runway event but as a cultural moment,” shares Jaspreet Chandok, Group Vice President, Reliance Brands. “New Delhi sets the perfect stage for this season’s creative expression and innovation.”

New Delhi: Where Craft Meets Couture

Bringing the showcase back to the capital feels like a homecoming. New Delhi, with its rich design heritage and bustling creative energy, has long been one of India’s most important style hubs.

“We are delighted to bring this landmark fashion event back to the capital this October,” says Sunil Sethi, Chairman, FDCI. “At FDCI, the business of fashion remains a key agenda. Our constant endeavour is to create platforms that empower designers, open new markets, and drive meaningful engagement between creativity and commerce.”

Looking Ahead

What awaits this season? While the official designer line-up remains under wraps, one can expect an electric blend of avant-garde ideas, traditional artistry, and bold collaborations—all woven together with a focus on sustainability, inclusivity, and innovation.

As the countdown begins, one thing is certain: Lakmē Fashion Week x FDCI 2025 in New Delhi won’t just celebrate fashion—it will celebrate the future.
