Stories on a Plate: Chef Goo Goo Brings Myanmar’s Flavours to Conrad Bengaluru

Conrad Bengaluru is set to turn its culinary spotlight on Myanmar with an exclusive three-day feast curated in collaboration with Dean With Us and the celebrated Burmese chef, Phyu-Cyn — fondly known as Chef Goo Goo. From 22nd to 24th August 2025, the hotel will host a vibrant culinary pop-up that promises to take guests on a journey across Yangon’s lively streets, Bangkok’s spice markets, and London’s eclectic kitchens.

The showcase is more than a dining experience — it’s storytelling on a plate. Chef Goo Goo, born and raised in Yangon, brings her rich Anglo-Burmese heritage and Eurasian upbringing into each creation. Known for balancing authenticity with innovation, her progressive interpretation of Burmese cuisine draws inspiration from her experiences in Myanmar, Paris, Bangkok, Goa, and Geneva. Each dish reflects her ethos of cooking with memory, compassion, and cultural depth — turning food into a warm, soulful embrace.

The initiative is presented in collaboration with Dean With Us, founded by Akanksha and Rupali Dean, who are celebrated for curating immersive, cross-cultural culinary experiences across Asia. With this showcase, Conrad Bengaluru reaffirms its vision of offering thoughtfully curated global experiences that go beyond the plate to celebrate culture, heritage, and creativity.
