Shah Rukh Khan’s Never-Seen-Before Army Photoshoot Goes Viral

Just days after Shah Rukh Khan celebrated his 60th birthday, fans were treated to an unexpected throwback courtesy of celebrity photographer Colston Julian. The Mumbai-based photographer shared a series of unseen photos featuring Shah Rukh dressed in an Indian Army uniform, captured during an earlier shoot at Mehboob Studios.

Julian captioned the post simply, Shahrukh KHAN photographed on location at Mehboob Studios,” letting the images do the talking. The shots — a mix of close-ups and full-length frames — show the superstar exuding his trademark charm in uniform, complete with a name tag that reads “Abhimanyu Rai.” Fans were quick to spot the reference — it’s the name of Shah Rukh’s character from his debut TV show Fauji — sparking speculation that the shoot might have been a creative nod to his early days in the industry.

Though the exact date of the photoshoot remains unclear, fans believe it was taken a few years ago, possibly around the pre-pandemic period. The post has since gone viral, with social media filled with heart emojis, nostalgic comments, and admiration for the actor’s enduring charisma.

Colston Julian, known for his work with icons like Amitabh Bachchan, Kajol, Katrina Kaif, Vicky Kaushal, Judi Dench, and Virat Kohli, first photographed Shah Rukh for Forbes India in 2013 and again in 2017 for a commercial project.

On the work front, Shah Rukh Khan is next set to appear in King, an action-thriller directed by Siddharth Anand, co-starring his daughter Suhana Khan. The film, slated for a 2026 release, has already created buzz with its slick teaser and SRK’s commanding new avatar.
