Saiyaara Premieres on Netflix This September

Saiyaara didn’t just win hearts—it became a global sensation. Produced by Yash Raj Films and directed by Mohit Suri, the film starring Ahaan Panday and Aneet Padda has become the highest grossing love story in the history of Indian cinema. After taking the box office by storm, the film is now set to stream exclusively on Netflix from September 12, 2025, across 190 countries.

A soulful romantic musical drama, Saiyaara tells the story of Krish Kapoor, a passionate but struggling singer, and Vaani Batra, a gifted lyricist battling a cruel twist of fate. Their journey of love blossoms as they collaborate on a song, only to face an unexpected challenge when Vaani is diagnosed with early onset Alzheimer’s disease. This sweeping narrative of music, miracles, and destiny struck a chord with audiences worldwide, resonating as a modern tale of love tested by time and adversity.

This release also marks the first collaboration between Netflix and Yash Raj Films where a theatrical YRF title debuts on the streaming platform, setting the stage for many more exciting releases to come.

Upon its theatrical release on July 18, 2025, Saiyaara crossed the ₹200-crore mark in India within a week, making it the second Hindi film of the year to reach this milestone, alongside Chhaava starring Vicky Kaushal. The film’s title track made history by debuting at No. 10 on the Billboard Global 200 singles chart, the first Hindi song to do so, and entered Spotify’s Top 50 Global chart, surpassing hits by global artists such as Billie Eilish and Lady Gaga.

Both Ahaan Panday and Aneet Padda received the IMDb Breakout Star STARmeter Awards, ranking in the IMDb Global 100 Chart—Aneet at 64 and Ahaan at 75—signifying their growing influence in the industry.

As Saiyaara prepares for its global streaming debut on Netflix this September, audiences around the world will now have the chance to experience this deeply touching story of love, loss, and hope—making it a true modern classic in the annals of Indian cinema.
