Anupam Roy Recreates ‘Jawlphoring’ As A Part Of ‘Prem Tame’ Album

Jawlphoring 2.0 is like a breath in the fresh air.  Anupam Roy, one of the most famous and adored Bengali composers, lyricists, and singers, is back recreating one of his most loved compositions Jawlphoring in Prem Tame, Anindya Chatterjee’s upcoming romantic comedy.

Sung by Anupam Roy himself, Jawlphoring 2.0 is more soothing and pleasant that is bound to bring back the happy musical memories of the last decade.

The new version has been devised and used in a similar premise but with a much youthful approach.  Even though the recreated version doesn’t undergo massive change in lyrics or chord, the setting and the feel of the song serve something different on plate.

The music video will be seen to feature Anupam Roy himself performing with his band in a college fest. While shooting this song, a huge crowd gathered on the floor to watch Anupam Roy performing.

The song is romantic and homely, and thousands of students in the fest are seen clearly enjoying it. It’s certainly a beautiful song, merging the imagery of the collective Bengali conscious with genuine feeling. Promising to be one of the hit songs of Prem Tame album, the recreated version has released today.

Positive and Excited about recreating Jawlphoring, Anupam Roy, said, ‘ Jawlphoring is supposed to be light-hearted and intimate.  It is a very special composition of mine and there are tons of memories attached to the songRecreating Jawlphoring with the same feel but in a different approach was exciting for me. Plus, the entire band performance on stage with thousands of students tapping their feet on the tune was a delightful sight.”

He further added, “I was overwhelmed to see the response of the song on the very day of shooting. I always believed that good music never has an expiry date. An 8-year-old song still being relived with the same energy by thousands of audiences, turned my belief stronger. I hope Jawlphoring 2.0 remains equally lovable amongst listeners like the original version.
