Madurai Food Festival Comes to Courtyard by Marriott Bengaluru Hebbal

There’s a certain magic to regional Indian cuisine — one that goes beyond taste and taps into memory, culture, and tradition. Few cities embody this as vividly as Madurai, where food is bold, deeply aromatic, and rooted in time-honoured culinary practices. This April, Courtyard by Marriott Bengaluru Hebbal brings that vibrant spirit to the city with a specially curated Madurai Food Festival at The Hebbal Cafe.

Designed as an immersive culinary showcase, this 10-day food pop-up celebrates the rich gastronomic heritage of South Tamil Nadu, inviting guests to explore a menu that is both soulful and indulgent. Known for its robust spices and comforting depth of flavour, Madurai’s cuisine takes centre stage in an experience that promises authenticity with every bite.

Curated by Chef Manoj and the hotel’s culinary team, the menu presents a thoughtful blend of street-style favourites and traditional home-style dishes. Diners can savour iconic delicacies such as the indulgent Madurai Kari Dosai, aromatic Nei Podi Idli, and the perfectly flaky Poricha Parotta, accompanied by a range of flavour-packed curries and classic sides.

Among the highlights are the much-loved Mutton Kola Urundai, a beloved Tamil delicacy known for its rich spice profile, and refreshing Jigarthanda-inspired desserts, offering a sweet and cooling finish to the meal. Adding an interactive dimension to the experience, live dosa counters bring the theatre of South Indian cooking straight to the table.

For those looking to elevate their experience, the Madurai-themed Sunday Brunch on April 12 offers a more expansive spread, allowing guests to indulge in these regional specialities within a lavish brunch setting.

With its vibrant flavours, layered spices, and deeply rooted traditions, the Madurai Food Festival at The Hebbal Cafe promises to transport diners straight to the bustling streets and kitchens of Tamil Nadu — all within the elegant setting of Courtyard by Marriott Bengaluru Hebbal.
