And Tyagi isn’t the only one navigating chaos. The lawyers of Patparganj are back in action, dealing with everything from electrified gates and sting operations gone hilariously wrong to secret romances that threaten to complicate courtroom dynamics. Amid the legal mayhem, the personal equations between colleagues continue to spark their own set of dramatic moments.

Produced by Posham Pa Pictures, the series is led by showrunner Sameer Saxena, with Rahul Pandey returning as director for the second season. The world and characters of the show are created by Saurabh Khanna and Kunal Aneja, while the new season is written by Syed Shadan, Mohak Aneja and Tatsat Pandey, under Kunal’s leadership.

Tanya Bami, Series Head at Netflix, shared her excitement about the return of the series. She said that Maamla Legal Hai proved how much audiences enjoy a fresh and humorous perspective on everyday spaces, especially one as lively and relatable as a district court. She added that along with titles like TGIKS and Single Papa, the show is part of Netflix’s growing comedy universe that focuses on fan-first storytelling.

Bami noted that the series stands out for its mix of real-life inspired cases, quirky personalities and relatable workplace moments, creating a comic world that viewers enjoy returning to. She also pointed to the strong ensemble cast, led by Ravi Kishan as V.D. Tyagi, with Nidhi Bisht portraying ‘Didi’, Naila Grewal as Ananya Shroff, Anant Joshi as Vishwas Pandey and Anjum Batra as Mintu. Adding a new twist to the courtroom drama this season is Kusha Kapila, who joins the cast as Nayana Arora, bringing an exciting new energy to the story.

Ravi Kishan, who reprises his role as V.D. Tyagi, shared that returning to the character feels like coming back home to a “very crazy yet very lovable courtroom.” Reflecting on the response to the first season, he said that actors always hope for roles that leave a lasting impression on audiences, and Tyagi has become one of those special characters for him.

He added that Season 2 deepens the humour and relationships within the story. While the chaos and comedy remain central, viewers will also see greater warmth, honesty and emotional depth in the characters’ journeys. Kishan also described the collaboration between Posham Pa Pictures and Netflix as one of the most rewarding creative partnerships, expressing hope that audiences will connect with the everyday struggles and small victories portrayed in the show.

Along with the returning cast — Ravi Kishan, Nidhi Bisht, Naila Grewal, Anant Joshi and Anjum Batra — the new season also welcomes Kusha Kapila and Dinesh Lal Yadav, who bring additional energy and surprises to the courtroom.

Packed with satire, heart and endless courtroom antics, Maamla Legal Hai Season 2 promises another entertaining ride where arguments get dramatic, verdicts remain unpredictable and laughter is guaranteed.

The court reconvenes on April 3, streaming exclusively on Netflix.
