Krrish 4 Shooting to Begin Mid-Next Year, Rakesh Roshan Confirms

From on-screen hero to behind-the-scenes visionary, Hrithik Roshan is taking the leap with Krrish 4, leaving fans thrilled for his dual role as director and lead.

Rakesh Roshan finally cleared the air on the long-awaited sequel, revealing that the delays weren’t about the script — it was all about the budget. “The script didn’t take a lot of time. The pressure was the budgeting. Now that we have an idea of the definite budget required for this film, we’ll be starting the film,” he confirmed. Shooting is expected to kick off by mid-next year, with a 2027 release on the cards.

The buzz around Krrish 4 is heightened as Hrithik Roshan dons a new hat — that of director. Rakesh Roshan had written, “25 years ago I launched you as an actor, and today I’m thrilled to see you step up as a director for our most ambitious film Krrish 4. Wishing you all the success!” Hrithik admitted, with characteristic honesty, “It’s like starting fresh all over again — learning, experimenting, and relishing every part of the adventure.”

From Koi Mil Gaya in 2003 to the global hit Krrish 3 in 2013, which amassed over ₹374 crore worldwide, the Krrish franchise has consistently set new benchmarks for Indian superhero films. Now, under Hrithik Roshan’s dual role as lead and director, anticipation is at an all-time high for a chapter that promises spectacle, emotion, and cinematic grandeur.

One thing’s for sure — Krrish 4 isn’t just a film; it’s Hrithik Roshan’s bold new adventure, and we can’t wait to see him take flight, literally and creatively!
