Released on March 9, 2012, “Kahaani” follows Vidya Bagchi , a pregnant woman who travels from London to Kolkata in search of her missing husband, Arnab Bagchi . Parambrata’s endearing portrayal of Rana, the soft-spoken inspector who aids Vidya in her search, earned him widespread recognition.
The film, produced by Sujoy Ghosh and Kushal Kantilal Gada, boasted a stellar ensemble cast that included Nawazuddin Siddiqui, Saswata Chatterjee, Kharaj Mukherjee, and Dhritiman Chatterjee.
Parambrata’s journey has continued to evolve since his breakout role. Fans can look forward to seeing him in a special appearance in Neeraj Pandey’s upcoming Netflix series, “Khakee: The Bengal Chapter.” Additionally, he has “Killbill Society” in the pipeline, further showcasing his versatility as an actor.
As “Kahaani” celebrates its 13th anniversary, it remains a testament to storytelling that resonates with audiences even years later — and for Parambrata Chattopadhyay, the memories of Satyaki’s footsteps through Kolkata are as vivid as ever.
