Janhvi Kapoor Gets Candid About Sridevi’s Legacy

Janhvi Kapoor has seen many changes in her career since her debut, but there’s one thing that has stayed constant—her love and respect for her late mother, Sridevi. As she steps into a new phase with her upcoming multi-starrer Sunny Sanskari Ki Tulsi Kumari, Janhvi is both excited and reflective.

During a recent press meet, Janhvi Kapoor reflected on the experience of being Sridevi’s daughter and the immense responsibility of carrying such a legendary legacy. Speaking candidly, she said, “Living up to her legacy is not really possible. She worked in over 300 films across Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam, and Hindi, and began acting at the age of just 4. Reaching that level is extremely difficult.”

Despite the comparisons that often follow her, Janhvi chooses to keep her focus steady. For her, it isn’t about chasing the same milestones, but about creating her own identity through meaningful work. “My only attempt is to make my parents proud with the kind of work I do and to bring happiness to audiences through my films. I just hope that I don’t let her legacy down,” she said with quiet determination.

Janhvi’s recent film, Param Sundari, co-starring Sidharth Malhotra, turned out to be a success at the box office, giving her career a positive push. Now, she is looking forward to the release of Sunny Sanskari Ki Tulsi Kumari, where she shares screen space with Varun Dhawan, Rohit Saraf, and Sanya Malhotra. Beyond this, her film Homebound with Ishaan Khatter and Vishal Jethwa is set to release tomorrow, marking yet another exciting chapter in her journey.

With each step, Janhvi Kapoor seems to be striking a delicate balance—celebrating the iconic legacy of Sridevi while shaping her own story in the film industry.
