Ekta Kapoor’s Balaji Telefilms and Guneet Monga’s Sikhya Entertainment announced their upcoming film Pagglait starring Sanya Malhotra in November 2019. The film that began in full stride last year in Lucknow, has been wrapped up, after a two-month-long schedule.
Kapoor, who is known for churning out films that capture relatable & flawed women who rebel stereotypes, in her latest venture, will be collaborating with Academy Award-winning producer, Guneet Monga (under the banner, Sikhya Entertainment) who has acclaimed content-driven films to her credit.
While nothing much has been revealed about the movie, there is a huge intrigue about the kind of film that will be crafted out by the two production houses. Pagglait, which is directed by Umesh Bist, will see Sanya Malhotra essay the role of a young girl, who’s on her way to discovering her purpose and identity amidst looming questions about love and belongingness.
The film is slated to release mid-2020.
