Hawa Badle Hassu : Change can come One Hero at a Time

SonyLiv launches it’s tremendously anticipated Environment Sci-Fi web series, Hawa Badle Hassu. This web original dishes out a solid message on the earth through fascinating and cutting edge narrating. Chandan Roy Sanyal plays the main and lead role of ‘Hassu’, who rides an eco-accommodating auto-rickshaw, spreading the message on environment conservation to his unassuming travellers. His garrulous experiences with different travellers crosswise over a bunch of different backgrounds. Another significant job attempted by Smita Tambe alongside the ensemble star cast like Vikram Kochar, Dheerendra Dwivedi and Zachary Coffin in substantial jobs.

Talking about the series Chandan Roy Sanyal stated, ‘I am thrilled to be part of this series. Hawa Badle Hassu is one of its kind stories and the genre is barely explored in the Indian entertainment landscape. I lapped up the role immediately after my producer Protiqe narrated the story. After meeting the directors I was convinced that I am in safe hands and I blocked my dates for the shoot. One of the overriding aspects of this series is a very important and pertinent message on the environment. It’s a global subject and touche everyone and it is seamlessly woven into the storyline without sounding preachy. I am convinced that this series will create awareness on Air pollution and environment conservation alongside entertaining people’.

Adding to Chandan, Co-writer and producer Protique Mojoomdar says, ‘ I have grown up on a heavy dose of mystery and science fiction. Imagine my joy, when the core concept of a sci-fi web series was approved. The fun started when a simple social comedy about a simpleton auto-rickshaw driver with the environment in his heart and on his sleeve, met with the vision of our sci-fi freak directors Shiva and Saptaraj. We realised that the future was not about saving the Earth from Alien invasions, but about the fight to sustain life on Earth and that reality is stranger than science fiction. I feel that we are at a pivotal point in our evolution and topic seems to be the most relevant conversation to have at this time.’

Is Hassu really be this good or is there something fishy he was up to? What is his real mission and identity? Or is he a superhero? While looking for these answers a seemingly social comedy, turns into a sci-fi laden environment. Watch Hassu’s story unfold in three different timelines, as all episodes start streaming on SonyLiv, soon!
