The much-anticipated Kannada action thriller Kantara Chapter 1 has unveiled a striking new addition to its cast. Actor Gulshan Devaiah, known for his eclectic range of performances, steps into the world of Kantara as Kulashekara, a regal and commanding figure whose first-look poster was released by Hombale Films on Tuesday.

At the heart of the saga remains actor-director Rishab Shetty, reprising his role while also steering the narrative as writer and director.
The film, slated for a theatrical release on October 2, takes audiences back in time as a prequel to the 2022 phenomenon Kantara. Its deeply rooted storytelling—set against the traditions and tensions of coastal Karnataka and anchored in the ritual practice of Bhoota Kola—struck a chord far beyond regional cinema.
Earlier this year, the production house teased fans with a behind-the-scenes glimpse of Shetty’s journey through a powerful first-look teaser. With music by B.
