Beyond his music, Akhtar recently appeared in the Prime Video documentary series “Angry Young Men,” which explores the influential partnership of Bollywood’s legendary writing duo, Salim Khan and Javed Akhtar. Akhtar, alongside Salman Khan, Zoya Akhtar, and Reema Kagti, co-produced the series.
Looking ahead, Akhtar is preparing for “Don 3,” where Ranveer Singh will assume the lead role previously played by Shah Rukh Khan. Kiara Advani will also star in the film, which is scheduled for release in 2025.
