“Ek Duaa” Trailer Out : Esha Deol Takhtani Raise Her Voice Against Gender Discrimination

The official trailer of Ek Duaa, which will mark the comeback of Esha Deol Taktani and her first venture as a producer, has just been released. Helmed by Ram Kamal Mukherjee, the story revolves around her character Abida. The synopsis of the film reveals it to be about the “struggles to amplify the voice and the right to equal love for her daughter Duaa, in a family that shuns the girl child.”

The movie shows the life of Abida and her cab driver husband who are struggling to make ends meet and run their humble household. However, in between this her mother-in-law keeps pushing to have another baby and give the family another grandson who will grow up to be an additional bread earner for the family. In the middle of all this chaos, she tries to give her daughter all the love and equality she deserves.

After creating buzz among the fans with the first look of the film,  the makers have now thrilled fans with the most promising trailer of the year.

“Ek Duaa” Co-produced by Venky’s and Assorted Motion Pictures, the film also stars Barbiee Sharma and Rajveer Ankur Singh in pivotal roles. The film is all set to stream from July 26 exclusively on Voot Select.
