Ed Sheeran Shares Exclusive Moments with Arijit Singh and Shah Rukh Khan During India Trip

Pop sensation Ed Sheeran recently delighted fans with a glimpse of his vibrant India visit, sharing moments filled with music, friendship, and cultural immersion. On Monday, Sheeran posted a series of pictures and videos that captured the warmth and excitement of his time in the country, including an unforgettable jam session with Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan and a relaxed coffee moment with Indian singing icon Arijit Singh.

In one standout video, Shah Rukh Khan can be seen singing the hook line of Sheeran’s upcoming track Sapphire, as the British singer smiles alongside him. Sheeran captioned the clip fondly, “@iamsrk, love that guy so much,” highlighting the genuine camaraderie between the two stars.

Another charming snapshot shows Sheeran standing on a barge with Arijit Singh, who is seen enjoying a cup of coffee. The Perfect singer wrote, “Me and @arijitsingh having a coffee on a barge,” showcasing the simple joys of their friendship.

Sheeran’s posts also reveal his deep dive into Indian culture — from singing in Hindi and playing traditional Indian instruments to getting a tattoo in Punjabi script. His enthusiasm was contagious as he shared a video of college students at a café dancing energetically to Sapphire, reflecting the song’s vibrant spirit.

Among the highlights of his trip was a visit to the iconic sets of Baahubali, where Sheeran admitted he “flipped out” on seeing the grandeur of the production in real life.

This visit adds to Sheeran’s rich history with India. Earlier this year, he toured several Indian cities as part of his Mathematics tour, performing in Pune, Hyderabad, Chennai (where he was joined by Oscar-winning composer A.R. Rahman), Bengaluru, Shillong, and Delhi between January and February. He also performed in India last March, and during his previous tours — the x Tour in 2015 and the Divide Tour in Mumbai in 2017.

With new music on the horizon and such heartwarming moments shared, the bond between Sheeran, Indian artists, and fans continues to grow stronger than ever.
