Dhanush and Kriti Sanon Stun in Teaser of Aanand L. Rai’s Tere Ishk Mein

The official teaser for Aanand L. Rai’s much-awaited romantic drama Tere Ishk Mein has been released, offering the first glimpse into the intense and emotional journey the film promises. The teaser features Dhanush and Kriti Sanon in the lead roles and sets a striking tone for the narrative.

The teaser opens on the vibrant, colourful setting of Mukti’s (Kriti Sanon) mehendi ceremony — a celebration filled with laughter, music, and joy. But the mood shifts sharply when Shankar (Dhanush) arrives, not from another festivity, but from the somber aftermath of his father’s funeral. Without a word of ceremony, he walks straight to Mukti, pouring Gangajal (holy water) over her in a ritual that feels both intense and unsettling. His actions come with a striking proclamation: she must wash away her past sins. The moment grows heavier as he delivers a curious and haunting curse — wishing her to have a boy child. I went to Banaras to cremate my father and brought Gangajal for you,” Shankar says solemnly, adding, “As you step into a new life, let go of your old sins.

This striking opening scene immediately pulls viewers into a world where love, ritual, mystery, and intense emotion collide, hinting at a film that promises to be as powerful as it is unpredictable.

Aanand L. Rai, known for his emotionally rich storytelling, had earlier described Tere Ishk Mein as a tale “about surrender — letting it heal you, hurt you, and change you.” He also shared behind-the-scenes glimpses of the film, showing Dhanush and Kriti Sanon immersing themselves deeply in their characters.

For Dhanush, this marks his third collaboration with director Aanand L. Rai. Their first venture together was Raanjhanaa (2013), which continues to be celebrated for its heartfelt storytelling and memorable performances, and starred Sonam Kapoor. Their next collaboration was Atrangi Re, alongside Sara Ali Khan and Akshay Kumar. Now, in Tere Ishk Mein, Dhanush steps into the role of a jilted lover once again — but with far greater intensity and emotional depth. The dialogues, the mood, and the dramatic visuals all promise a cinematic experience that is bound to stay with audiences long after they leave the theatre.

The film’s haunting music, composed by AR Rahman, further adds to the emotional depth, setting a tone of intensity and passion. In the first glimpse of the film, Kriti was seen pouring kerosene over herself in a scene marked by chaos — a moment that already raised curiosity about the storyline.

Presented by Gulshan Kumar, T-Series, and Colour Yellow, Tere Ishk Mein is produced by Aanand L Rai, Himanshu Sharma, Bhushan Kumar, and Krishan Kumar. The film is set to release in theatres in Hindi and Tamil on November 28, 2025.

With its intense emotional premise, star pairing, and evocative music, Tere Ishk Mein is shaping up to be one of the most anticipated films of the year.
