Deepika Padukone to Begin Shoot for Atlee-Allu Arjun Project After King

Deepika Padukone is currently on the sets with Shah Rukh Khan for his upcoming project King. Once she wraps up this commitment, the actress will dive straight into her next big venture — a collaboration with director Atlee and star Allu Arjun.

Recent whispers about Deepika Padukone’s screen time being trimmed and her role altered in her upcoming film with Atlee and Allu Arjun have been put to rest. A source close to the project told Mid-Day, “There is no truth to these rumours. Deepika’s role remains exactly as promised when she joined in June. She plays a powerful, central character who is essential to the story’s first and second acts. This is far from a cameo — her character drives the narrative.”

Deepika will reportedly begin shooting in late October, after wrapping up King with Shah Rukh Khan. The opening schedule will introduce her character in depth, while November will see adrenaline-fuelled action sequences, including a high-octane chase designed by Atlee’s South Korean stunt team.

The film will then shift to the UAE in December for emotionally charged scenes and a major mid-film twist featuring Deepika and Allu Arjun. Tentatively titled AA22 X A6, the project will be filmed across multiple global locations, including the US and UAE.

With a mix of intense action, emotional storytelling, and a stellar ensemble cast, expectations are already running high for this ambitious venture.
