‘Dacoit’ Release Date Pushed Back as Adivi Sesh Recovers from Set Injury

Actor Adivi Sesh has reportedly sustained an injury while shooting an intense action sequence for his upcoming film Dacoit, leading the makers to postpone its original release date of December 25, 2025. The injury occurred during filming in Hyderabad, though the exact details have not been disclosed.

A source close to the team revealed, “In an attempt to push his physical limits to deliver a compelling performance, Sesh injured his left leg. The actor is currently recuperating.” With a significant portion of shooting still pending, the filmmakers have prioritized Sesh’s safety over the release schedule.

Directed by Shaneil Deo, Dacoit also stars Mrunal Thakur alongside Anurag Kashyap, who plays the antagonist. The film explores the journey of an enraged convict seeking vengeance against his former girlfriend who betrayed him. According to the makers, it’s “an explosion of guns and roses, betrayal and trust, and, above all, love and loss.” Promising a gritty and realistic portrayal of violence, Dacoit examines how ordinary people can be driven to become outlaws.

The team has yet to announce a new release date as they ensure filming continues safely while Sesh recovers.
