BTS Video of Chikiri Chikiri Shows Ram Charan and Janhvi Kapoor’s Hard Work and Fun on Set

The recently released song Chikiri Chikiri from the Ram Charan and Janhvi Kapoor-starrer Peddi has taken the internet by storm. With AR Rahman’s catchy music and Jani Master’s high-energy choreography, the song instantly struck a chord with audiences. Beyond the music and dance, the picturesque locations also added to its charm, helping the track cross 100 million views within a month of release.

To give fans a closer look at what went into the making of this peppy number, the makers released a behind-the-scenes (BTS) video that has left viewers impressed with the dedication and energy of the actors. The short video captures Ram Charan and Janhvi Kapoor trekking uphill for 45 minutes to reach the filming location at Savalya Ghat in Pune, Maharashtra.

The BTS clip also showcases Charan rehearsing his steps and enjoying the shoot, particularly the hook step that has become a viral dance trend on social media. Fans have been creating reels and videos emulating his moves, further highlighting the song’s popularity. Sung by Mohit Chauhan, Chikiri Chikiri depicts Peddi’s (Ram Charan) love-at-first-sight moment with Chikiri (Janhvi Kapoor), set against the idyllic backdrop of a village.

Visual effects played a crucial role in enhancing the song’s appeal, with significant portions of the waterfalls and scenic elements created using CG. The BTS footage also captures director Buchi Babu Sana in fanboy mode, sharing his excitement about working with Charan. He fondly recalls watching Charan’s debut film Chirutha multiple times and even playing the songs on repeat in theatres.

The BTS release not only gives a peek into the physical effort and commitment of the cast and crew but also shows the fun and camaraderie on set. With its combination of scenic visuals, infectious music, and high-energy choreography, Chikiri Chikiri continues to be a fan favorite, and the BTS video only strengthens its appeal.
