Batman, created by Bob Kane and Bill Finger, made his debut in Detective Comics #27 in 1939. The superhero gained fame through various adaptations, starting with the 1966 TV series starring Adam West and Burt Ward. The series was notable for its catchy theme song by Neal Hefti, which won a Grammy and sparked a Billboard Hot 100 cover battle. Over the decades, Batman has been portrayed by numerous actors, each bringing their unique take to the character—from Michael Keaton’s dark portrayal in Tim Burton’s films to Christian Bale’s gritty interpretation in Christopher Nolan’s Dark Knight trilogy, and Robert Pattinson’s recent performance in “The Batman” (2022).

Adding to the excitement, a new 10-episode animated series, Batman: Caped Crusader, premiered on Prime Video in August. This series, created by Bruce Timm, J.J. Abrams, and Matt Reeves, continues the legacy of the Emmy-winning Batman: The Animated Series. The original series, which aired from 1992 to 1995 on Fox, was co-created by Bruce Timm, Bob Kane, Bill Finger, and others, and remains a beloved part of Batman’s storied history.
With this upcoming Walk of Fame ceremony, Batman’s legacy is further solidified, celebrating not only his impact on pop culture but also his enduring influence across generations. Fans and industry figures alike eagerly await this monumental tribute to one of the most iconic superheroes of all time.
