Launching the latest Reebok Zig Kinetica with the ‘Chola’ label by Sohaya Misra, the high-energy show at Lakmé Fashion Week Summer/Resort 2020 offered trendy style for footwear and fashion.

Speaking on the collaboration, designer Sohaya Misra said,” I am super excited about this collaboration. The clothes and shoes together with the music, lights and dance choreography are going to have everyone bouncing off the walls. It’s high impact, full of energy and most importantly high fashion… so many people have put in so much thought and effort to bring this show together that it makes me feel so thankful that they trust my vision and want to be a part of it and I have all the trust in theirs.”

Adding more zing to the show was the audio-visual experience amplified with the high energy of drummers and dance performances by Omaggio, a leading dance company in the country. There was an element of ultra-powered action, as the kinetic lights symbolizing the high energy that all-new Reebok Zig Kinetica embodies, created an attention-grabbing impact for Chola’s vibrant collection that was full of drama and style.

Aditya Roy Kapur donned a classic black shirt and balmy coordinated/harem pants. And to top it, the black Reebok Zig Kinetic shoes with an eye-catching neon sole completed his seamless and trendy look.
Staying true to her DNA of oversized silhouettes in mainly cotton fabrics with intense detailing, Sohaya ensured that her creations had immense visual and creative appeal. Wide boxy blouses and shirts were teamed with layered skirts, while trousers spoke a language all their own with comfort as the key factor. Jackets had collars and sleeves that could turn into conversation pieces and the tunics were designed for timeless anywhere wear.
Transcending its performance-based origin, Zig Kinetica built around a distinct zigzag-shaped, energy-return sole, fuses innovative sports tech with sleek style to create a highly functional shoe that seamlessly transitions from the gym to street. For a show-stopping entry ‘Malang’ star and Bollywood heartthrob, Aditya Roy Kapur donned a classic black shirt and balmy coordinated/harem pants. And to top it, the black Reebok Zig Kinetic shoes with an eye-catching neon sole completed his seamless and trendy look.
In its signature, high octane energy, ‘Chola’ kicked off the show with a power-packed somersault stunt followed by eccentric dance performances to popular numbers like ‘Perfect’ by Sam Spiegel and Tropkillaz and ‘Baiana’ by CloZee and Barbatuques.
Staying true to its design philosophy Chola presented an array of quirky garments that could be layered to provide functionality across sizes. The peppy designs were curated with intriguing hand-painted textures on cotton, linen and khadi fabrics. With fluidity at its core, the collection was showcased in black, grey and white base colours with vibrant pops of yellow, green, red and blue. The occasionally occurring stripe and check details gave an offbeat edge to the distinctive silhouettes.
Keeping up with the zesty vibe of the show the enthusiastic models strutted down the ramp in oversized jacket variations, effortless overalls, button-down shirts, cargos/wide-leg pants and dresses. The statement-making asymmetric lapels, wacky collars, diaphanous sleeves and unconventional cut of the garments teamed with the zingy appeal of the Reebok shoes made every look a striking one. Remarkable ruffled interests were spotted on men’s wear garments, while the female models made their way on the ramp in a distinct assortment of boxy silhouettes.
When it is a question of making a great impact on and off the ramp the ‘Chola’ label by Sohaya Misra with the new line of Reebok Zig Kinetica shoes will achieve it beautifully.
