Shahid Kapoor Might Star In Ali Abbas Zafar’s Next

Post date:

Ali Abbas Zafar was expecting to start the shoot of his big-budget, two-part superhero movie starring Katrina Kaif titled Super Soldier this year. However, the ongoing pandemic wrecked his plans and he had to postpone the schedule to next year.

The director has now moved on to a new project. It is reported that Ali Abbas Zafar is working on a thriller that entails the events of an overnight incident. It is said to be the remake of a Hollywood film. Much details have not been revealed about this film. It is expected that the movie will be released under the banner of Offside entertainment and a large part of the film will be shot in Abu Dhabi later this year.

According to a source, he has been planning for a long time to adapt this film. While the cast of the movie hasn’t been revealed yet, it is expected that Shahid Kapoor will be joining the project. Shahid Kapoor was looking for an unconventional script that fits into the commercial space without being a typical potboiler and this script seemed like the perfect match for him.

Shahid Kapoor has a busy year ahead. Currently, he is shooting for the Hindi remake of the hit Telugu film Jersey. He is also signed in for Amar Butala’s Operation Cactus and Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra’s mythological epic Karna. Along with that, he is also in talks with Shashank Khaitan for an action-thriller and Sujay Ghosh for a thriller entertainer.
