The film Gul Makai is based on the life and struggle of a Pakistani teenager, girl-education activist and Nobel Peace Prize winner, Malala Yousafzai. Directed by- H.E. Amjad khan; Produced by- Sanjay Singhla, Preeti Vijay Jaju, Dhaval Jayantilal Gada, Akshay Jayantilal Gada “Gul Makai” already hit the screen on 31st January.

The makers of Gul Makai organized a premiere for the show in Mumbai and many celebrities like  Dr.Jayantibahi Gada, Satish Kaushik, Reem Shaikh, Sehban Azim, Bhaswati  Chakrabarty, Priya Shinde, Rajeshwari Datta, Avneet Kaur, Ashnoor Kaur, Rajan Shahi, Ishika Shahi, Gulfam Hassan, Santosh Shukla, Kanika Mann, Nishant Malkani, Kressy Singh, Wahid Ali Khan, Sanjay Singlaa, Ulka Gupta, Aditi  Singh, Sneha Shah, and many more made a warm presence at the screening.

Director of the film, H.E. Amjad khan shares, “Malala’s story should be known to India and the world. This simple girl is a perfect showcase of women empowerment and how a woman can change the future of a nation”.

Popular Indian television child actress Reem Shaikh makes her film debut, playing the lead role of Malala. The film also features the late Om Puri (in his final film), Divya Dutta, Atul Kulkarni, Mukesh Rishi and Pankaj Tripathi.
